This manual teaches the user three times as many exercises as are in our standard Physical Therapy Protocols Instructional Manual, and includes full color photos and instructional videos to go along with most of the exercises.  Exercises are broken down into Upper Body Exercises; Lower Body Exercises; Core, Balance, and Stability Exercises; and Exercises for Increasing Flexibility.

This manual also provides in-depth research and training on the benefits of training the body in the upright position for core strength and functional strength, and guides the user through the process of developing new exercises on Core Stix.

As a bonus, the program now also includes our Three Stage Advanced Balance Progression Program and our Wellness Group Exercise Programming for the Active Aging population.

Core Stix Balance Progression Program developed by [re+active] Physical Therapy and Wellness (included in Manual).

Basis of Program: Systems approach to balance as tested by the BESTest

*Horak, Wrisley & Frank 2009

Goal: Identify and address balance according to the underlying balance system deficits.

Stage 1: Balance Foundation: core activation for anticipatory postural responses, limits of stability, sensory orientation and biomechanical constraints

Stage 2: Balance Control: progresses foundation and includes postural responses and combined balance systems

And more!

We have had Core Stix for a little over one month now; We have utilized it on all types of patients - orthopedic, balance, amputees, with excellent results from the standpoint of improving strength, core stability, balance and overall functional improvement specific to each patient. It offers a wide variety of options to choose from to fit each patient - upper body, lower body, core stabilization and flexibility.
